$17.00-$25.00 per hour ( based on experience)

Monday-Friday | Hours vary between 7:00 AM-4:00 PM and 8:00 AM-5:00

In person Job Description NKC Dental is a growing 5-doctor practice and we are looking to expand our Business Office team! We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented, and organized Dental Insurance Coordinator who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys helping patients understand and navigate their dental benefits and financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a team-focused mindset. This role plays an important part in creating a positive patient experience by coordinating insurance information, supporting office operations, and helping patients better understand their treatment and financial options. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide a welcoming, positive experience upon arrival Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and general office needs Review patients' dental insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments Confirm coverage details including deductibles, annual maximums, frequencies, waiting periods, limitations, and exclusions Explain insurance benefits and estimated patient financial responsibility to patients Enter the patient's estimated financial responsibility into the patient account for the treatment team to reference Enter and maintain accurate patient data in dental practice management software Submit and track pre-authorizations and predeterminations Upload completed insurance forms and maintain accurate electronic records Identify and resolve insurance discrepancies or eligibility issues Communicate professionally with patients regarding insurance concerns and questions Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards Work collaboratively with the business office and clinical teams to support workflow and scheduling needs Qualifications Previous dental insurance coordinator experience preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, CDT codes, and dental insurance plans preferred Dentrix experience is highly preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong critical-thinking skills High school diploma or equivalent required Why Join Our Team?
