This role is essential to the daily operation of our clinic and the overall experience of our clients. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment while supporting individuals seeking mental health services. Our Kansas City, MO location operates with a high level of independence, meaning the receptionist serves as the primary administrative support onsite. The ideal candidate must be dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable managing front desk operations while maintaining a calm, professional environment for clients and clinicians. Compensation Pay for this position is based on experience and ranges from $18-$20 per hour. Responsibilities Welcome and check-in clients in a professional and compassionate manner Answer phones, emails, and general inquiries Schedule and manage client appointments using medical scheduling software Assist clients with intake forms and documentation Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Process billing, payments, and medical documentation Maintain a clean and organized reception area Fax, scan, file, and manage confidential documentation Provide support to clients who may be experiencing stress or emotional distress Maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality standards Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently Professional demeanor and reliability Ability to remain calm and supportive in sensitive situations Ability to work independently while staying organized and productive Team-oriented mindset Why Work With Us Clinical Counseling Associates is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care to our community.
