Medical Receptionist PRN

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our physician office. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and update records Collect co-pays and process payments Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow Perform general administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team
