We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Front Office Coordinator to join our growing team and serve as the first point of contact for our patients. Position Overview The Dental Front Office Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience and the efficient operation of the practice. This position is responsible for greeting patients, managing appointments, answering phones, verifying insurance benefits, discussing treatment estimates and financial responsibilities, collecting payments, and supporting daily front office operations. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Welcome and greet patients in a friendly and professional manner. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and general inquiries. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to patient visits. Explain treatment estimates and patient financial responsibilities. Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow throughout the day. Assist with appointment reminders and follow-up communications. Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures. Support administrative and front office operations as needed. Provide exceptional customer service and help create a positive patient experience. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dental practice software. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Customer service or front office experience preferred. Preferred Previous experience working in a dental office. Experience verifying dental insurance benefits and eligibility. Familiarity with treatment plan presentation and patient financial arrangements. Experience with Dentrix practice management software. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
