Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) system Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification. Collect and process patient payments, including medical billing and collections. Manage patient records accurately within various EHR system Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently. Assist with medical intake procedures, including data entry and updating patient information. Maintain organized filing of medical records and ensure confidentiality of health information. Support clinic operations by coordinating care plans, appointment reminders, and follow-up scheduling. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office role, preferably in clinical settings. Excellent computer skills Ability to review medical documentation accurately and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards. Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities. Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic or hospital experience is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and data entry. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
