Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Front Desk & Patient Interaction Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner Check patients in and out for appointments Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments Appointment & Records Management Maintain and update appointment calendars Create and update patient records Ensure accurate entry of personal, medical, and insurance information Handle patient files in compliance with privacy laws like HIPAA (or equivalent in your country) Billing & Insurance Tasks Verify insurance details and eligibility Process co-pays and other payments ️ Administrative Duties Manage emails, mail, and office correspondence Keep the reception area clean and organized Complete record releases and record requests Send referrals ‍ ️ Coordination & Communication Communicate patient needs to doctors, nurses, or other staff Handle sensitive or urgent situations calmly and professionally Skills Needed Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organization and multitasking ability Basic knowledge of medical terminology Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems Attention to detail and confidentiality
