Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working in a medical office and possess excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. This role is essential in creating a positive patient experience and ensuring efficient front office operations. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while providing compassionate service to our adult patient population. Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Check patients in and out for appointments
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and benefits
  • Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Process referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records requests
  • Coordinate communication between patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies
  • Manage incoming faxes, emails, and other correspondence
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
  • Assist with additional administrative duties as needed to support office operations QualificationsRequired
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a medical office setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and patient scheduling
  • Experience verifying insurance coverage and collecting patient payments
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Preferred
  • Experience working in an Internal Medicine or Primary Care practice
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with referrals and prior authorizations
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Skills & Attributes
