Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays
  • Maintain patient records and update medical information as necessary
  • Assist with medical billing and coding tasks
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and schedule follow-up appointments
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Manage the front desk area, including keeping it clean and organized
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a dental or medical receptionist preferred
  • Familiarity with front desk operations in a dental or medical office setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with patients and colleagues
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
