Med/Surg 2
Schedule:

As a Medical Unit Receptionist, you're the friendly face and steady voice that keeps our unit running smoothly. You'll welcome patients and families, support our clinical team, and help create the remarkable experience Novant Health is known for. This is the perfect fit for someone who loves being the go‑to person, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys making each night a little brighter for the people around them. What You'll Do Greet patients, families, and visitors with warmth and professionalism Keep communication flowing—phones, call lights, messages, you name it Support nurses and providers with essential clerical tasks Help coordinate admissions, discharges, and patient updates Keep the unit organized, stocked, and running like a well-oiled machine Use our First Do No Harm safety behaviors to support a safe, reliable environment
What We're Looking For Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Experience:
One year of experience in healthcare, preferred.
Licensure/certification/registration:
NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
Additional skills preferred:
Experience with answering multiple phone lines. Basic computer skills. Excellent customer service behaviors. Why Choose Novant Health?
