Trellis Supportive Care is seeking a dedicated Hospice Unit Clerk to provide essential administrative support for patient care operations at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home . In this important role, you'll help ensure accurate patient records, support clinical teams, and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional end-of-life care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. Why Trellis Supportive Care? The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home is North Carolina's first free-standing not-for-profit hospice organization. Since 1979, we have been serving patients and families throughout the Piedmont Triad with compassionate medical, emotional, spiritual, and social support. What began with a small team has grown into a dedicated workforce of more than 300 professionals united by a shared commitment to helping patients live fully and comfortably with dignity and hope. Schedule Full-Time; 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM What You'll Do As a Hospice Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care by: Maintaining accurate patient records and medical charts Accessing and updating Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Conducting chart audits and preparing records for filing Managing patient care documentation forms Compiling admission packets and time-of-death packets Creating and printing patient-specific signage using Microsoft Word Accessing care plans for weekly interdisciplinary team meetings Preparing Medication Administration Records (MARs) for updates Entering patient supply information into the EMR for billing and Medicare cost reporting Preparing daily census reports and maintaining accurate level-of-care records Completing room inspection checklists for incoming admissions Answering telephones and patient call bells professionally and promptly Providing exceptional customer service and communication to patients, families, coworkers, and vendors Qualifications Preferred Experience One (1) year of healthcare experience Experience as a healthcare unit secretary or unit clerk Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Strongly Preferred Nursing Assistant I (NA I) or Nursing Assistant II (NA II) Certification What We Offer Trellis Supportive Care values our team members and offers: Competitive compensation Comprehensive medical benefits Generous paid time off Meaningful work in a mission-driven organization A supportive and collaborative team environment For more information about this and other available positions, contact: Charlotte Akers Talent Acquisition Manager with Trellis Supportive Care Annual influenza vaccination is a condition of employment unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
