Organizational skills Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our Dermatology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front office operations and assisting with patient care in a medical office setting. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various medical systems. Duties Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently. Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar. Perform insurance verification and assist with Medicare documentation. Review patient documentation for accuracy and completeness. Maintain electronic health records using systems such as eClinicalWorks and Meditech. Handle phone inquiries, including appointment requests and general information about services. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks as needed, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations. Ensure the medical office is organized and compliant with health regulations. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Intergy, is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to Medicare and insurance verification processes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff professionally. Ability to perform documentation review accurately to ensure compliance with healthcare standards. A positive attitude towards teamwork and patient care is essential.
