They manage daily front-desk operations by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling billing.
Patient Check-In/Out:
Welcome patients, verify personal identification and insurance details, and ensure required consent forms are completed.
Scheduling:
Manage multi-provider calendars, book follow-up appointments, and send out appointment reminders to minimize no-shows.
Communication:
Answer a multi-line phone system, route calls to the appropriate clinical staff, and relay accurate messages.
Financial Tasks:
Collect co-pays and past-due balances, issue receipts, and generate end-of-day reconciliation reports.
Record Keeping:
Update Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, scan necessary medical documents, and securely process medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Office Management:
Keep the waiting room neat and welcoming, and ensure the front desk remains adequately stocked with office supplies.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1-2 years of relevant customer service or administrative experience, ideally in a medical or clinical setting.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems and standard office software.
Interpersonal Skills:
Exceptional communication, empathy, and a calm, problem-solving demeanor to handle anxious patients and fast-paced
Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
