Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be vital in creating a welcoming environment for patients and supporting the smooth operation of our medical practice. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact, managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring accurate documentation. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical administrative support within a fast-paced clinic setting. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Ema Collect and process patient payments, including medical collections and billing inquiries Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating medical history in EMR systems Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate patient flow and appointment scheduling efficiently Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office environment or as a front desk receptionist in clinics or dental offices Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as EMA Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple phone lines and manage patient interactions professionally Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Ability to perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and document review accurately Bilingual abilities are required to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and appointment coordination Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor Join us in delivering outstanding patient service while advancing your career in healthcare administration!
