$17/hr•$21/hr Position Overview A busy physician's office in Franklin Lakes, NJ is seeking a reliable and professional Front Desk Receptionist to provide maternity leave coverage. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical office setting, including insurance verification and prior authorizations , and will excel in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Answer multi-line phones, route calls, and take accurate messages Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Obtain and process prior authorizations for procedures and services Collect co-pays and maintain accurate patient records Handle patient check-in and check-out processes Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Provide general administrative support to the office and clinical staff Qualifications Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting required Hands-on experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations is essential Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with basic computer skills Professional demeanor and appearance Additional Details Temporary assignment covering maternity leave Opportunity to gain experience in a well-established medical practice Must be dependable and able to commit to the full coverage period All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
