Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized CMA/Medical Receptionist with at least 2 years of experience with knowledge of insurance carriers deductible, coinsurance, copay, in network and out of network benefits to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. Must have knowledge of insurance carriers deductibles, copays in network and out of networks benefits. CMA including vitals, ekg, injections, vaccines, rapid testing. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within our medical office, enhancing patient experiences, and maintaining efficient office front desk and clinical management. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Ability to navigate through various portals to verify benefits including deductible, coinsurance, copay, in network and out of network benefits. Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments for multiple providers, and address patient inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Process medical coding for billing purposes, collecting patient balances and assist the billing department as needed. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care. Familiarity with prescriptions, referrals, authorizations Utilize electronic health record systems for data entry and management. Provide administrative support including scanning, faxing, filing, data entry, and managing office supplies. Uphold high standards of patient service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Patient communication via different portals and email. Punctuality is extremely important Experience Previous experience as a CMA/Medical Receptionist or within a dental office or healthcare setting is required Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus. Ability to navigate through various portals for insurance verification including knowledge of deductible, coinsurance, copay, in network and out of network benefits. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Proficient in using phone systems and office management software; experience with eClinicalWorks, Tebra/Kareo is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and files. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
