Duties Greet patients and their families warmly, creating a friendly and professional first impression Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Collect payments, perform medical collections, and manage financial transactions with accuracy Maintain organized patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history forms and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries promptly Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 codes, and care plans Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and ensure all documentation is accurate for billing and treatment purposes Experience Prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred, especially within pediatric clinics Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential; familiarity with EMR systems like Epic or Meditech is a plus Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (ICD coding), insurance verification processes, and HIPAA regulations Experience handling medical billing, collections, Medicare/Medicare claims processing, and documentation review Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing proficiency (10 key typing) Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette in handling multi-line phone systems Office management experience in a healthcare setting that emphasizes front desk operations, appointment scheduling, filing systems, and medical administrative support Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to providing top-quality pediatric dental care!
