Looking for a part-time Medical Receptionist/ Medical Assistant for an Allergy practice (Dr. Gargi Patel) in Piscataway, NJ and willing to provide training. ```Responsibilities``` About the
Role:
As an Allergy & Immunology Medical Receptionist, you play a vital role in our patient care team You will handle patient communication, appointment scheduling, and various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of our allergy office Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and empathy Schedule patient appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) system Address patient inquiries regarding appointments, and general office information Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, especially regarding allergy services Collect payments according to our policies, including co-pays and deductibles Assist with billing inquiries and provide patients with detailed billing information Contact patients to confirm, reschedule, or remind them of allergy appointments Manage appointment cancellations and rescheduling efficiently Update patient records accurately in the EMR system, ensuring confidentiality and security Collaborate with clinical staff to relay patient concerns and pertinent information Create a positive patient experience by addressing concerns with professionalism and compassion Assist with administrative tasks such as managing appointment queues and coordinating allergy referrals ```Qualifications``` High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in medical reception or customer service preferred Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel Strong communication and active listening skills, especially in patient interactions Empathy and professionalism in addressing patient needs and concerns Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Knowledge of allergy terminology and insurance verification processes is advantageous
