Our team takes pride in making patients feel at ease while delivering professional and compassionate care. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Dental Receptionist to join our team. Overview Join our dynamic dental practice and become the welcoming face of our office! The Dental Receptionist plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk. As the first face our patients see, the ideal candidate will ensure a positive experience from appointment scheduling to check-out.
Responsibilities Include:
Greeting patients Scheduling appointments Answer patient calls, emails, and text messages in a timely manner. Maintain patient records and update information as needed Basic office duties (copy, fax, e-mail, scan etc..) Managing referrals to and from specialty providers Make sure specialty providers have all necessary records (X‑rays, notes, referrals) prior to procedures. Clearly explain coverage, copays, and balances to patients Present treatment plans, review fees and insurance estimates Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation Experience in dental office or medical administrative support with familiarity in dental terminology and medical coding (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT) Manage patient scheduling using dental practice management (Dentrix) Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes Collect payments, process co-pays, and manage medical billing and collections with accuracy and efficiency
