This energetic professional will serve as the welcoming face of our pediatric dental practice, ensuring smooth daily operations while providing exceptional patient service. Your expertise in managing front desk responsibilities, insurance verification, and medical billing will contribute to creating a positive experience for our young patients and their families. Responsibilities Greet patients and families warmly, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere at the front desk Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Open Dental Verify insurance coverage Collect patient information accurately and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage medical billing processes including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and submission of claims via EMR systems Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages Maintain accurate dental records and medical records management while ensuring confidentiality according to HIPAA standards Assist with intake procedures, patient education on care plans, and follow-up scheduling to optimize clinic flow Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry with 10 key typing skills, and maintaining organized office supplies Qualifications Proven experience in dental office administration with strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinic workflows Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Open Dental, Dentrix, or similar platforms; experience with Open Dental is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding including
CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9
coding for billing purposes; understanding of various insurance regulations preferred Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations; bilingual abilities are highly valued Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, and documentation review within a healthcare setting Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for safeguarding patient information Previous clinic experience involving front desk operations is preferred Join our vibrant team where your skills make a difference!
