Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team for our very busy orthopedic practice. This position plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our patients while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of front office activities.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and at checkout Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments accurately Verify patient insurance coverage and collect co-pays or outstanding balances Input and update patient demographics and insurance information in the system Scan, upload, and organize patient documents into electronic medical records Perform general clerical duties including answering phones, copying, emailing, and faxing Balance and batch out daily payments and prepare end-of-day financial reports Assist with preparing clinic for the following day (e.g., pulling charts, verifying appointments) Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and insurance companies Maintain confidentiality of patient records and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical office setting strongly preferred Knowledge of insurance verification and front desk procedures Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Professional demeanor and commitment to providing exceptional customer service Team player with a positive attitude Why Join Us?
