Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and familiarity with medical terminology and scheduling practices. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service. Manage medical scheduling, including appointment bookings, cancellations, and confirmations. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Process patient information using ICD-10 coding and ensure proper documentation. Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to inquiries, voice-mail, managing faxes and referrals. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments and any necessary follow-up actions. Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record management. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment. Experience in medical scheduling to manage appointments effectively. Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for patients and visitors. Administrative skills to handle office tasks efficiently and accurately. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations. Familiarity with documentation review processes to maintain accurate patient records.
