Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a warm, professional, and efficient experience. Your expertise in medical administrative support and health insurance verification will help streamline office operations and enhance patient satisfaction. Hours:
Monday 8:30 AM-1PM Tuesday 8:30AM-5PM Thursday 8:30AM-5PM Duties Greet patients and visitors with friendly, professional phone etiquette and front desk assistance Schedule appointments, confirm appointments Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, obtain referrals and help billing service with details and some collections Manage patient intake forms, pull paper charts, update medical records, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness Maintain cleanliness of exam room Assist with medical coding tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, ensuring proper documentation review for billing purposes Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Use multi-line phone systems and perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing and making copies when needed. Experience Prior clinic or medical office experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance procedures, and medical billing practices Demonstrated ability to handle medical administrative support tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy Proven experience with office management tools like Microsoft Office Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multi-line phone systems and handle sensitive information professionally Join us to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering exceptional patient care through organized operations and compassionate service.
