Your primary job duties will include greeting and checking in patients, answering questions, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and EMR documentation. You will also help keep our records and work areas clean and organized, as well as ensure our surgery center provides a welcoming environment for our patients. This position requires you to work an eight-hour shift: Monday thru Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm Medical Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities Greet patients and other visitors when they arrive. Answer patient questions and provide assistance when necessary. Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and register them within the centers EMR system. Verify insurances. Collect co-pays. Field phone calls and respond to emails. Manage inventory of necessary office supplies and coordinate reordering Medical Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of experience working as a receptionist in a high-volume office is a must. Completion of a certificate program in the medical field preferred Familiar with medical terminology and EMR systems. Excellent organizational and time management skills
