Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Answers all incoming calls in a polite, courteous, and professional manner.
- Responsible for evaluating each patients/callers concern and distribute/triage calls to appropriate team members, or individuals in a timely manner using Team Preference Sheets for an appropriate solution.
- Scheduling new/existing patients, obtain insurance information, demographics, check eligibility using HealtheNET "e" in Mednet, appropriate scheduling information and send out record request.
- Update insurance information, if a patient calls with changes and check insurance eligibility using HealtheNet/ 'e' in MEDENT.
- Answer patient questions regarding appointments, inquiries and any other information that would ensure a proper resolution.
- Makes recommendations and provides guidance in resolution to patients concerns, within the abilities of the operator(no medical/clinical)
- Email/triage messages as requested and processes appropriately.
- Operate within UNBS Compliance and HIPAA guidelines related to resolution of patients concerns.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
