Job Description

Position Overview:
The goal of the receptionist is to provide high quality customer service to all patients who enter and call Pediatric & Adolescent Urgent Care. The receptionist will be responsible for greeting and registering all patients, accurately entering all of their demographic and insurance information. The receptionist will answer all phone calls and answer or direct the call to another employee appropriately. The receptionist will carry out his/her cleaning duties throughout the night as assigned.
Hours consist of:
Everyday 10am- 10pm We are an after hours facility and are open 365 days a year!
Essential Job Functions:
Exhibiting excellent customer service skills to all patients in the waiting room and on the phone Following all HIPAA guidelines Following all policies and procedures as outlined in PAUC manuals Greeting and registering patients with the upmost courtesy, being welcoming and empathetic Collecting accurate demographic and insurance information Collecting payment from patients and recording accurately Directing late arriving family members to appropriate rooms Balancing all payments collected and change given throughout the shift Using proper phone etiquette, following the guidelines provided in training Completing cleaning tasks throughout the shift as outlined on the "Daily Cleaning List," always maintaining the integrity of the waiting room and restroom, sanitizing as much as possible
Qualifications:
Medent experience preferred but not necessary. Desire to work with children, past experience working with children preferred Compliance with federal HIPAA regulations is mandatory Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of medical terminology Customer focused Ability to maintain a professional demeanor Commitment to providing pediatric centered quality medical care Flexible in attitude and function - must be willing to travel between and work in either PAUC offices; must exhibit a positive and can-do approach to their work Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with pediatric patients and those with developmental disability and medically compromising conditions Attention to detail Ability to work on a team
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
