Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic, upbeat, pleasant and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience. Your expertise in medical administrative support, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and strong communication skills will help facilitate efficient clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while maintaining organized and accurate medical records. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification using Eclipse Medical software. Schedule appointments accurately using medical scheduling software and coordinate with providers to optimize clinic flow Collect and process payments, including medical collections, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain and update patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Assist with medical billing procedures. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally with excellent phone etiquette; handle inquiries related to appointments, billing, or general clinic information Manage filing of medical records and organize health information efficiently within the office management system Support front desk operations by performing clerical tasks such as data entry, typing reports, and managing office supplies Maintain a clean office environment Skills Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eclipse will be helpful Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding will be helpful Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and other third-party payers Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in bilingual settings preferred Demonstrated ability to handle medical collection processes professionally while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to type accurately at 10 key speed is advantageous Prior clinic or medical office experience with a focus on administrative support and front desk responsibilities Knowledge of health information management practices including filing systems and documentation review processes Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team where your organizational skills and passion for patient care will make a meaningful difference! Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
