Job Summary About Us Prothotic Laboratories is a well-established pediatric orthotic and prosthetic practice serving children with complex orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions throughout NYC, Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island. We are known for our compassionate patient care, specialized pediatric expertise, and innovative in-house fabrication services. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Medical Secretary to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with families and children in a fast-paced medical office environment. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients and families with professionalism and warmth Answer multi-line phone system and direct calls appropriately Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars Verify insurance information Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Collect co-pays and process patient paperwork Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, therapists, and staff Assist with general administrative and office support duties Maintain a clean and organized front office area Qualifications Previous medical front desk or medical secretary experience preferred Experience with insurance verification and authorizations is a plus Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable working with children and families Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented Spanish speaking preferred What We Offer Supportive team-oriented environment Meaningful work helping children and families Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off and holidays Opportunity for long-term growth within the company
