Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Dental Office Receptionist to join our dental practice. In this vital front-line role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a positive experience for every patient, from scheduling appointments to verifying insurance and maintaining accurate medical records. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent customer service throughout their visit Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility Manage patient check-in and check-out processes Answer multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and redirecting calls as needed Maintain organized dental records, including filing, documentation review, and updating medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle administrative tasks such as appointment reminders, patient follow-up calls, and managing office supplies Qualifications Proven experience as a medical or dental receptionist with clinic or office experience in a healthcare setting Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and perform insurance verification procedures efficiently Exceptional customer service skills with strong phone etiquette and communication abilities Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Previous clinic or dental office experience preferred Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding administrative support in a fast-paced dental environment.
