The Medical Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role ensures a smooth, welcoming, and efficient front‑office experience by managing check‑ins, insurance verifications, scheduling, patient communication, and administrative support. The receptionist supports clinical staff by maintaining accurate records, coordinating patient flow, and upholding a professional, patient‑centered environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Reception & Check‑In Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner Verify patient identity, insurance information, and required documentation Collect co‑pays, outstanding balances, and required forms Ensure accurate and timely patient check‑in Scheduling & Communication Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Manage high‑volume phone lines using proper triage and messaging protocols Communicate appointment instructions, preparation requirements, and follow‑up details Relay messages to clinical staff promptly and accurately Administrative & Office Support Maintain organized front desk workflow, including scanning, filing, and updating patient records Process referrals, authorizations, and medical record requests Assist with daily office tasks such as mail, faxing, and supply management Insurance & Billing Support Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Collect and post payments accurately Explain basic billing questions and direct complex inquiries to billing staff Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in a medical office, healthcare setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks) Knowledge of insurance basics and medical terminology Preferred Bilingual (Spanish/English) Experience with appointment scheduling systems Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and front‑office workflows Key Competencies Professionalism and patient‑centered communication Attention to detail and accuracy Reliability and punctuality Ability to maintain composure under pressure Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (files, supplies) Frequent use of computer, phone, and office equipment Please apply at the following link: https://app.fingercheck.com/FingerCheck/Jobs/Careers.aspx?
