Latham, NY Compensation:
$18.00•25.00 per hour, based on experience Our growing neurology practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and enjoys being an active member of a collaborative team. This position combines traditional front desk responsibilities with insurance and administrative functions, including procedure & testing prior authorizations, benefits investigations, scheduling, and patient support. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and willing to assist wherever needed to help ensure a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Patient check-in and check-out Appointment scheduling and rescheduling Insurance verification and benefits investigations Prior authorization processing and follow-up Collection of patient copays and balances Answering and directing incoming phone calls Managing patient messages and documentation within the EHR Scanning, filing, and maintaining patient records Assisting providers and clinical staff with administrative needs Supporting office workflows and helping team members as needed Maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for patients and visitors Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of current medical office experience required Strong customer service and communication skills Experience with insurance verification and medical terminology Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture Must have good phone skills and ability to interact with patients face-to-face Preferred Qualifications Neurology experience strongly preferred Experience with prior authorizations and benefits investigations Experience with referrals and specialty practice workflows Experience with Medent Practice Management and Electronic Health Record systems Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance plans What We're Looking For We are seeking a proactive, solutions-oriented team member who takes initiative, embraces challenges, and is willing to learn.
