Lindenhurst (3 days), Plainview (1 day) , & Wading River (1 day) We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Associate to join our growing healthcare team on a part-time basis. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Your expertise in medical office procedures, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and insurance processes will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient service and supporting smooth clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a compassionate healthcare setting where your organizational skills and medical knowledge can truly make a difference. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in and check-out procedures Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification Schedule patient appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and multi-line phone systems while maintaining efficient clinic flow Collect patient information, update medical records, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as RxNT for maintaining comprehensive patient files Answer phones professionally using proper phone etiquette, handle inquiries, transfer calls as needed, and manage appointment reminders Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), faxing, scanning documents, and maintaining organized medical records Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and ensure seamless office management in a fast-paced healthcare environment Proven experience in a medical office or clinical setting Excellent computer skills Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Effective communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding patient service and demonstrate professional phone etiquette Experience with insurance verification processes Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks Join our growing team where your organizational talents combined with your passion for healthcare can help us deliver exceptional patient experiences.
