Job Description

Overview We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, family members, and callers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth office operations. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with office management tools, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with office management systems, clerical tasks, and excellent phone etiquette are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Arrives/Opens Office during scheduled business hours. (M-F) (6 AM Start Time) Greets patients, family members, and/or visitors warmly, creating a welcoming environment. Obtains accurate, complete demographic, insurance information, and financial contract/consent on patient charts. Patient/guardian signatures on required forms. Ensures the patient and their family members' needs are met regarding their comfort and concerns. Participates with the surgery scheduler in patient calls, chart preparation, and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality are maintained. Accurately and timely, distribute forms to the appropriate areas at the time of registration. Participates with the surgery scheduler in the accurate, proper, and appropriate scheduling of cases. Receives and reconciles payments from patients and follows the procedure for collection. Acts as a liaison between clinical units and the waiting room. Participates in Center Quality Improvement Program activities, including identification of opportunities for cost reduction and efficiencies. Attends all center meetings and educational opportunities. Provide customer support via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy. Support office management duties, including supply inventory, document preparation, and general clerical support. Maintain a clean and organized reception area to ensure a professional appearance. Qualifications Proven experience in office administration, scheduling, or clerical roles; (Health Care Setting preferred) Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills to facilitate effective interaction with a variety of health care professionals and the public (patients, family, vendors, etc.) Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and EMR's Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse clientele Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette standards Strong attention to detail with proofreading and data accuracy skills Ability to manage time efficiently in a busy environment Previous experience in medical or dental reception is desirable but not required Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills and a friendly attitude This position offers an engaging work environment where organizational skills and customer service excellence are highly valued. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining efficient office operations while providing outstanding support to patients and team members alike.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
