Full Job Description Overview:
SINY Dermatology is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This is a full-time position and will require weekend availability. This position will be scheduled at any of our eight locations throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Forest Hills. Flexibility and the ability to travel to each location as needed is required.Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments for patients using our electronic scheduling system
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain patient records and update medical charts
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Experience:
MUST BE FLUENT IN BOTH ENGLISH AND MANDARIN
(REQUIRED).- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a medical office setting is required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
