Job Description

Medical Receptionist You would be responsible for performing administrative duties to facilitate and complement patient care.
Responsibilities:
Welcoming patients and visitors Properly register patients, entering demographics, insurance and pertinent medical information into EMR Be familiar with the basic aspects of medical insurances and be able to verify them,scanning patient insurance Checking in and out patients and taking co-payments Scheduling and maintaining patient appointments Handle Heavy phones. Perform a comprehensive over the phone clinical intake understanding the reason for the call or appointment and other pertinent information Filling out forms. Be able to obtain pertinent medical information from patient including medication and social history Generating referrals Confirm patient appointments for the next day. Provide appropriate medical education to the patients using the resources available in our office Be familiar with the common medical conditions that are seen in everyday practice Perform other job related duties as assigned like periodic mailing or regular calling of patients etc.
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent Computer skills required 2 years of medical office experience Ability to multi-task Strong customer service skills Insurance knowledge and Proficient in EMR Proficient in English, able to communicate and enter medical information into EMR Commitment to continue learning and acquiring new skills Be able to handle heavy phone calls following office guidelines with respect in regards to our patients medical concerns Ability to work independently, complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines Ability to be a dynamic team player and work effectively to complete office projects Excellent work ethics and professional behavior Outstanding customer service and communication skills
