Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our dermatologic surgery practice. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative responsibilities. Your energetic approach will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, medical terminology knowledge, and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression and professional front desk presence Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to facilitate billing processes Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy and efficiency Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages Maintain and update patient records in EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Organize filing of medical records, manage correspondence, and support office management tasks to streamline clinic operations Be a confident line of communication between our provider, patients and staff Skills Proven experience in a medical office or clinic setting with strong clerical skills and office management capabilities Proficiency in EMR/EHR system is preferred Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
