Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a dental office in New York. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming patient experience while keeping scheduling and administrative tasks organized. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for patients, visitors, and clinical staff, helping the office run smoothly each day.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients and visitors in a courteous manner and guide them through the arrival process.
  • Coordinate appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and update reservations as needed.
  • Manage front-office communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and responding to routine inquiries.
  • Handle patient check-in activities, confirm essential information, and maintain accurate reception records.
  • Support administrative office functions such as preparing forms, organizing documents, and assisting with daily workflow.
  • Use basic medical terminology appropriately when communicating with patients and healthcare team members. Requirements
  • Previous experience in a medical front office, reception, or similar patient-facing administrative role.
  • Working knowledge of patient scheduling practices and front-desk coordination.
  • Ability to perform patient check-in tasks accurately and maintain organized records.
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology used in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication skills with a detail-oriented and welcoming approach to patient service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.
