In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and staff, ensuring smooth clinic operations through exceptional administrative support. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help facilitate efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and seamless communication within the medical practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while utilizing your comprehensive knowledge of medical administrative procedures and health information management systems. This position is part time . Hours are Monday 8am-5pm Tuesday 8am-6pm and Thursday 8am -5pm Responsibilities Availability to work in all 3 of our locations Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization and verification processes, including Medicare and HIPAA compliance Prepare and review billing information for accuracy and completenes Handle patient intake by collecting information, updating records Maintain meticulous medical records management, filing documents securely while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and address inquiries promptly greeting patients, managing patient flow at the reception area, and coordinating clinic activities efficiently Perform data entry tasks such as updating electronic health records (EHR systems), and managing office documentation with high accuracy using Microsoft Office tools Conduct insurance verification procedures to confirm coverage details for various providers including dental clinics or hospital settings when applicable Experience Proven experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting with a strong background in medical administrative support or clerical duties Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is preferred Knowledge of medical billing practices Prior clinic or hospital experience demonstrating proficiency in appointment scheduling and patient service is advantageous Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Exceptional organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly demeanor at the front desk or reception area Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through exceptional administrative support!
