(AMP), supporting ColumbiaDoctors , is currently seeking enthusiastic and professional Front Desk Medical Receptionists to join our growing team. AMP is a Management Services Organization (MSO) that provides clinical and administrative support for ColumbiaDoctors , one of the largest and most respected multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. Our providers specialize in Cardiology, Vascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Obesity, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day front-end operations of a high-volume medical practice, including patient flow. Meet and greet patients and visitors. Manage scheduling and confirming appointments for office visits and studies. including follow-up appointments, referrals and other related tests as requested by providers. Register and process patient arrivals quickly and efficiently according to office protocols, utilizing EMR system and ensuring a smooth check-in. Collect co-payments at time of service. Secure and record all types of monies collected throughout the day in accordance with office guidelines. Verify and update patient information and insurance eligibility, obtain referrals and authorizations for services prior to medical visit. Ensure patient and insurance data is accurately processed through systems applications, electronically, via website or telephone. Provide support for general administrative tasks and maintain organized front desk area. Collaborate closely with multiple team members, including clinical staff.
Required Experience/Skills:
Knowledge of medical insurances (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial), including referrals and pre-authorizations Ability to multi-task and be flexible with daily tasks Excellent customer service and communication skills Good organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience/Skills:
2 years of work experience in the medical field EPIC experience Bi-lingual a plus
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Work Location:
On-site.
Salary Range:
$20 - $23 per hour
Job Type:
