Job Description

Seeking a Full Time Medical Receptionist for BCHP's Developmental Pediatrics Division in Valhalla, NY. Pay rate will be approx. $19/hr to $20/hr, negotiable based on experience. Candidates must have a medical office background, EHR experience is a plus. Bilingual proficiency with English and Spanish is preferred.

Office responsibilities Verify all patient and family demographics Verify all insurance information Check the online pre-visit registration through the Phreesia program, adding and/or correcting any information in the patient database. Follow-up on any positive responses in the Coronavirus screening through Phreesia Phreesia should also be checked at the end of the day to prepare for the next day's visits. Incomplete registration and positive screenings should be dealt with at that time. Checking the online payment of balances and copayments, and assisting parents in making these payments at the time of the visit if not done prior to the visit Assisting new patients in completing the registration forms Updating all information in the patient's electronic record, including removing an Alerts that no longer apply Assist patients in obtaining access to the Patient Portal for each child in the family Manage referrals to specialists and insurance inquiries. Make appointments for future visits for patients as they exit. Experience with Electronic Medical Records is essential, and familiarity with the NextGen EMR is a plus.
