Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Front Office Coordinator to join our growing oral surgery practice. As the first point of contact for patients, referring offices, and visitors, this role is essential in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring the efficient operation of the practice. The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for managing patient communications, scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, answering insurance and treatment-related questions, and supporting patients throughout their care journey. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally. Schedule consultations, surgeries, and follow-up appointments. Assist patients with questions regarding treatment, procedures, insurance benefits, and financial arrangements. Verify insurance information and provide benefit estimates when applicable. Obtain referrals, imaging, records, and necessary documentation from referring offices. Communicate effectively with referring offices regarding patient care and scheduling needs. Welcome and assist patients upon arrival while ensuring a positive experience. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative patient communications. Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient patient flow and schedule management. Qualifications Previous dental or oral surgery experience required . Strong computer, data-entry, and typing skills are required . Dental and Medical Insurance knowledge preferred but not required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Professional, positive, and patient-centered attitude. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
