Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental clinic. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, knowledge of dental terminology, and the ability to handle patient inquiries efficiently. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and enhancing patient experiences. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk area to create a welcoming environment. Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently. Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate documentation. Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) for documentation and scheduling. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission. Provide support for Dental administrative tasks as needed, including filing and clerical duties. Assist with patient inquiries regarding care plans, treatment options, and office policies. Skills Proficient in dental terminology, and health information management. Experience with EMR systems such as OpenDental. Strong understanding of dental billing processes, including Medicaid procedures. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced patient communication. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle multi-line phone systems effectively. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
