Job Description

Overview We are seeking an organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from check-in to check-out. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline clinic operations, manage patient flow, and support the delivery of exceptional care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare environment where your administrative skills make a meaningful difference every day. The position requires employee to work 3 days a week in Marietta, OH office and two days a week in the Pennsboro, WV office. Must have reliable transportation. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures. Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinate patient flow, and manage calendar updates to optimize clinic operations. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes for Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers, and other payers. Collect and process payments accurately. Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; respond promptly to patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately. Manage front desk responsibilities such as filing, faxing and as assigned. Assist with intake procedures for new patients and update patient information. Support clinical staff by preparing care plans documentation and assisting with medical administrative support tasks as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office role with clinic experience preferred. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to patient information. Strong organizational skills with clerical experience in filing, documentation review, insurance verification, and office management tasks.
Pay:
$13.15 per hour
