Maumee, OH Job Details Full-time 12 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Summary The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at Ohio Foot & Ankle Specialists. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while performing administrative and clerical duties that support efficient office operations. The Medical Receptionist ensures accurate scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and communication to create a positive patient experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and timely manner Answer multi-line phone system and direct calls appropriately Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information in EMR Scan and upload documents into patient records Manage patient check-in and check-out processes Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow Assist with referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests Maintain a clean and organized front office environment Perform other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1 year of medical office or customer service experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Experience with EMR systems preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, scheduling systems) Professional demeanor and positive attitude Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and standing Frequent use of computer and telephone Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally Work Environment Fast-paced medical office setting Frequent interaction with patients, providers, and staff Compensation Compensation is based on experience and aligned with internal equity and organizational budget guidelines.
