Medical Receptionist

Ophthalmology practice seeks friendly, experienced receptionist to join our team. Duties include registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, preparing patient charts for exam, processing referrals, collecting and processing patient payments, scheduling eye surgery, and detailed documentation of patient communication with emphasis on spelling and grammar. Must be detail-oriented, focused, flexible, patient, and work well in a fast-paced environment. Pleasant demeanor and strong interpersonal skills required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive, cooperative attitude, a passion for customer service, a commitment to teamwork, and serve our practice with integrity, excellence and compassion. M-F 8:00 - 5:00. Competitive starting pay. 90 day probation period. Other benefits (once eligibility is met) include health insurance contribution toward premium, vacation, sick-leave, paid holidays and participation in 401k following first year's employment.
