Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Desk/Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Your expertise in medical office procedures, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and insurance verification will contribute to smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient service. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in and check-out processes Schedule patient appointments using medical scheduling software Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization, and handle insurance verification processes accurately Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and routing calls appropriately Maintain accurate medical records by updating patient information in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including intake forms, care plans, and billing information Assist with medical billing and collection efforts Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by guarding patient confidentiality during all interactions and documentation review Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies to ensure a well-organized clinic environment Skills Proficiency in EMR systems with the ability to navigate health information management efficiently Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and private insurance plans Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations Demonstrated clerical experience in a healthcare setting with familiarity in front desk operations and medical administrative support Competency in computer skills Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA guidelines while maintaining high levels of accuracy in documentation review and data entry Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks such as appointment scheduling, filing medical records, and coordinating care plans Prior clinic experience is highly desirable to ensure seamless integration into our healthcare team Join us in making a positive impact on patient experiences by providing efficient administrative support within a vibrant healthcare environment.
