  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team.
In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience from appointment scheduling to check-out. Your expertise in medical administrative support, insurance verification, and patient service will help streamline clinic operations and foster positive patient relationships. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process Manage appointment scheduling using dental office management software such as Open Dental, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily workflows Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing inquiries utilizing systems like Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including documentation review and data entry Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and assisting with patient inquiries Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and collection of copayments or outstanding balances Support administrative tasks such as filing medical records, managing office supplies, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or medical administrative support role with clinic experience preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and health information management systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Meditech, Epic, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Ability to handle insurance verification processes and perform accurate documentation review Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, typing (including 10 key), and familiarity with multi-line phone systems Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and office management tasks Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Join us in delivering exceptional patient care through efficient front desk operations!
