Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Dental Receptionist & Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for a multitasking professional who enjoys managing both the patient experience and the essential financial health of a dental practice.
Front Desk & Patient Coordination Patient Concierge:
Greet patients, manage the check-in/check-out process, and ensure a smooth daily flow.
Scheduling:
Coordinate appointments and follow-up care to maintain a productive office calendar.
Record Management:
Maintain both digital and physical patient records , ensuring all HIPAA-compliant forms and histories are meticulously organized and up to date.
Billing & Insurance Management Insurance Verification:
Confirm coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations before scheduled procedures.
Claims Management:
Prepare, submit, and track dental insurance claims; follow up on aged accounts and denials.
Collections:
Calculate and collect patient co-pays at the time of service and manage monthly billing statements.
Account Reconciliation:
Post insurance payments (EOBs) and audit accounts for accuracy within Open Dental .
Qualifications Experience:
Previous dental front office or billing experience is preferred , but we are willing to train a candidate with strong administrative skills and a quick learning curve.
Software:
Proficiency with Open Dental is a significant plus.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to handle financial discussions professionally.
Organization:
High attention to detail, specifically regarding the maintenance of physical filing systems alongside digital records.
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
