(This position is full time in office, not remote) This is a hybrid position; by that we mean both front desk (secretary), as well as MA (medical assistant). We are looking for the right individual with a can-do team player attitude to be our first impression to our referring doctors and our patients. We are seeking a highly motivated Patient Service Representative to provide excellent customer service, communication skills, and multi-tasking abilities. Great work-life balance as the position is M-F, no evenings, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays! The individual will support the physician staff by representing physicians, utilizing specific knowledge of medical terminology, transmitting medical records, screening documents and handling all telephone calls while maintaining an efficient and professional manner. Individual will be responsible for answering phone calls, checking patients in and out, pulling medical records, calling insurances and supporting our providers in their patient care. We also need the individual to cross-train in MA (Medical Assistant) duties, for when needed. These duties include bringing the patient back to the room, doing vitals, inputting medical history, unwrapping their bandages, taking pictures of legs/wounds, and learning how to wrap them back up. Our office culture is to make all patients feel that their needs are met in a courteous, professional, and compassionate manner with respect for their time, and appreciation that they chose our practice for their medical care. Delivering, maintaining, and measuring our culture and quality is our goal.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of Medent EMR required/preferred
  • 1 year experience in medical office / administrative assistant experience required
  • Ability to concentrate and focus on tasks until completion while sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, family members, team members, managers
  • Obtain prior authorizations in a timely and efficient manner
  • Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
  • Demonstrate multi-tasking in a fast paced environment while staying organized, efficient, and professional at all times
Job Type:
40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday
