Job description As a Medical Front Desk Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing clerical, administrative and phone support for our Podiatry practice. We are looking for a self-starter with a positive team player, excellent customer service skills, insurance verification and positive attitude. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office Answering multiple phone lines, directed calls, managed and maintained the office voicemails Data entry of new patient demographic information, past medical history, etc. into EHR Check in and check out the patient through the office EMR system (ModMed) Strong knowledge of insurance eligibility, authorizations, copays, co-insurance, deductibles and self-pay pricing Have knowledge of the insurances accepted in the office Collect copays and deductibles at the time of service and balance at the end of the visit Call patient to schedule appts when needed for follow up Scan, update information into patient information Assist doctor and back office as needed Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing
Skills:
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers) Professional attitude and appearance Strong experience in insurance authorizations, benefits and eligibility Solid written and verbal communication skills Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise Excellent organizational skills Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize task
Experience:
Medical Receptionist Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical Terminology:
1 year (Preferred)
Podiatry:
1 year (Preferred) Knowledge ModMedn EMR is a plus
