Job Description

Overview We are a patient focused dental practice seeking an organized Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors alike. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, handle insurance verifications, and support the smooth flow of daily clinic activities. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while ensuring all administrative tasks are executed efficiently. Responsibilities and Specific Duties included but are not limited to: Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression, checking the patients in for their appointment. Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft. Confirm patients by phone for their appointment. Verify insurance coverage prior to the patient's appointment. Submit claims and pre-authorizations, collect co-pay, deductible and post payments to patient's account. Check patient out after appointment and schedule next appointment Billing on outstanding accounts Recall and call list for patients Manage and answer multi-line phone systems promptly with excellent phone etiquette. Review documentation for accuracy, including intake forms and treatment plans. Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up to ensure timely reimbursement. Uphold HIPAA compliance by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth clinic workflows and patient care coordination Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong front desk and administrative support skills. Experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft or similar platform Knowledge of dental terminology Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and health information management practices. Ability to perform detailed documentation review and ensure accuracy in dental billing and coding processes. Clinic or dental office experience is preferred to quickly adapt to the workflow and terminology used within the practice. Salary is based on experience.
Pay:
$12.00 - $20.00 per hour
